I just need to start by saying I’m a notorious grump when it comes to customer service. Today like any other day, I had to deal with doctor offices, health insurance, and this online pharmacy. Destiny, who works in the pharmacy, was by far a fantastic help. I spoke to her MULTIPLE times today with an elevated blood pressure (caused by insurance and doctor offices), and she went above and beyond to help my son and me. Destiny even went so far as to call me back a couple of times today and give me updates about Modafinil that I ordered. She even went to bat for me against my insurance. This young lady was very compassionate, kind, and very patient. I appreciate her, and I appreciate the efforts to ease my anxiety. Stay amazing! Destiny, I hope you read this, and I hope grumpy women like me don’t ever change your personality.
They’re going to rule over A Plus Pharmacy like an evil stepchild. Still, Thad is out of their sweet nature professionalism and a fantastic experience 90 days of a long list of inconsequential but life-prolonging meds free and those that don’t save your petrol, you choose to lose your HIPPA RIGHTS by resigning in the app or using a simpler UX that doesn’t require following you around your life.
Stay away from this A Plus Pharmacy – I was there for 5 minutes to buy Modafinil and went to the manager to complain about terrible customer service, and two other people were at the same time complaining about the same employee. Her name is Barbara Brown, and when I asked if she could help me she was rude, vulgar and at one point I thought she was going to hit me, when I said it was OK I could help myself, her answer was “good” ! – definitely mentally unbalanced and should not be dealing with customers. Hopefully, their headquarters can do something about this.
Also, I switched from CVS as I got tired of the poor customer service and, most importantly, because they could not provide me with the specific type of generic medicine – Modafinil. Big pharmacy chains contract set vendors and will only give you meds from them. So I went to Publix, and the experience was dramatically and positively different. Vincent had all my prescriptions in 24 hours. He is efficient, gives good advice, and the rest of the staff is always very kind. I never thought I would look forward to going to a pharmacy, but now I do.
I scheduled a free COVID-19:test online. I arrived to see there were absolutely no signs posted to inform you where to go or what to do despite the website telling you not to go inside but to follow the posted directions. I had to go inside to find out I needed to go to the drive-thru. I arrived at the drive-thru informed the lady I was there for COVID-19 testing, and she proceeded to take 10 minutes searching for “my prescription” when I thought she was gathering equipment to perform the test. She returned to inform me that she could not locate a prescription for me anywhere, and I politely reminded her I told her I was there for COVID-19 testing. She looked at me like a deer in headlights, turned around, and asked the pharmacy staff what to do. Candy someone told her, “our system is down. We can’t perform any testing”. There was no sign in the window or communication between the staff to prevent my negative experience or anyone else who had an appointment scheduled after me. Very unprofessional and disorganized operation!! The online registration process worked superbly, though.
AHF Pharmacy is an excellent pharmacy with a passionate staff. They spend time getting to know their customers and finding solutions to complex problems. I especially enjoy how Dr. Dominic combines modern medicine with natural supplements to provide the best care possible. She’s very knowledgeable and caring. Highly recommend.
Post hours close at 6:00 pm on the front door, and Google locks the door at 5:45 pm. The manager tried to say it was closed, but I pointed at the sign showing the hours & had them let me in. UPS uses this pharmacy as a drop-off location, and I would have come all the way there before closing for nothing had they not heard me knocking and opening. The same thing would happen if someone rushed there from work to grab their prescription just before close. I gave them three stars since he did let me in after my insisting and sold me Modafinil that I needed. The manager said he closes early to shut down refrigerators so that they can leave by 6:00. They should post 5:45 pm closing time then.
They’re pretty good – not perfect, but good – and I’ve gained a new appreciation of them after the unbelievable nightmare of trying to deal with the pharmacy system, where every single thing is a huge problem each and every time that any prescription needs to be filled. I never even imagined that it would be impossible to talk to anyone on the phone at a pharmacy until dealing with Kaiser. So compared to that, the Las Olas is perfect!!
Staff is unfriendly and unhelpful, and it’s expensive, especially for a Costco. I tried to get Modafinil, and it was a days-long process that required me going in there twice and then calling twice, just for common Modafinil. They advertise it on their website, but they don’t have it in stock, so they had to order it, which took another day and a half. Also, I specifically asked them *not* to enroll me in their text message system, and within 5 minutes of hanging up, I started receiving texts. Considering how bad they are at getting together basic dog meds, I certainly would never trust them with human medicine. Won’t be going back.
